Do I need a referral to come to Saige Health?
A referral is required to receive a medicare rebate when consulting with Dr Aaron Budden. Details of this referral will also allow him to triage and ensure urgent problems are seen within a reasonable time.
A referral is also required for all ultrasound procedures.
A formal referral is not required to see the general practitioners, however we are happy to receive referrals from other GPs to provide specific advice and management.
Are General Practitioners books open for new patients?
The GPs at Saige Health do not aim to replace your regular family doctor.
They provide specific consultation on health needs related female reproductive system and fertility.
So whilst their books are not “closed” you may be redirected towards another GP service if your health needs do not fall within the capabilities of the service at Saige.
Does Saige Health bulk bill?
Saige Health does not set consultation or procedural fees. All health providers are independent practitioners at Saige Health and as such they determine their own fees however none offer a Bulk billing service.
You can expect a long consult for you first appointment with follow up appointments usually shorted depending on complexity.
I have previously seen a doctor at Womens Reproductive Care, will my record be at Saige Health?
Although Saige Health is in the same location where Womens Reproductive Care (WRC) was, it is a different business and maintains no shared information with WRC including medical records.
If you have seen Dr Budden when he was working at WRC, he has maintained and integrated your records into the medical software used by Saige Health. If you have seen any other doctor from WRC, you will need to contact the previous owner.
Where do the doctors consult from?
Saige Health has a single practice location within the specialist medical centre on the Coffs Harbour hospital campus. Dr Budden provides consultation at the Saige Health location and at Holistic Women’s Health in Port Macquarie although the team at Saige manage all appointments in both locations.
All other medical practitioners are part time at Saige and may consult from other locations however the team at Saige is unable to assist with appointments and enquiries in these locations.
